  • Lot #711 - 1895-O NTC, as described
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • Copeland Society Consignment. Cataloger's grade: [AU-58]. Exceptionally close to mint-state, especially as robust olive-gold and orange-purple toning tends to downplay finger friction with the fields. Slight rub on the cheek and eagle's breast speak to brief introduction to the channels of commerce. Linear abrasions can be found in the field beneath Liberty's chin.

  • Lot #543 - 1907 No Motto Saint Gaudens NGC MS-62
  • Hammer: $2,500
  • Gold $20-Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle
  • Tougher in mint state than its 1908 no motto counterpart, the 1907 Saint Gaudens is known for its flat strike, a result of an overcorrection after the ultimately failed high relief experiment on the then new double eagle design. A stupendous medium-gold sheen glazes the obverse; both sides remain relatively unscathed from major incisions compared to other MS-62 twenty-dollar gold grades.
