  • Twenty 1884-O, all CACG MS-62
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • Terrific 2’s! It is clear that someone simply submitted an original roll of 1884-O Morgan silver dollars to the very discerning CACG grading service and ended up with a uniform series of MS-62 issues. Each of these coins offers brilliant luster, superb strikes, and fields free from major distractions. Hard to imagine a better-looking roll lot of this type that does not include a single example above MS-62??? (ck).

  • Lot #361 - 1886 NGC PR-65+ Star CAC
  • Hammer: $8,000
  • Gold Dollars-Indian Princess Head, Large Head
  • 1 graded PR-65+ "star", none higher at NGC, suggesting this as the finest known non-cameo proof at NGC. That being said, the "star" obviously denotes what is at minimum full cameo contrast on the obverse though the reverse contrast lessens considerably by comparison. Furthermore, at the "gem plus" level, it takes a lot of searching before one can finally detect fragile, near-vertical hairlines occasionally fluttering into the obverse left field.
