Upcoming Auction Highlights

  • 8/7/2026 - Saint Charles Convention Center

  • See the Auction Schedule for complete details.
  •
  • 1884-CC NGC AU-58
  • Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
  • The Wild Steven Collection. Quite a bit similar to another individual of the same grade and service in the sale. This specimen incorporates slightly more dusty originality than the former. In the same breath, perhaps more bag hits and abrasions exist on the one shown here, with a notable dent just above “LIBERTY,” and several more minor but notable hits on cheek. (CE)

  • Lot #544 - 1882-CC GSA, 1883-CC GSA, and an 1884-CC GSA, all CACG MS-63
  • Hammer: $875
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • A trio of common Carson City GSAs garners choice commendation from CAC. Included are: 1882-CC (coppery toning in desirable textile pattern envelops the entire reverse and both sides admit typical small abrasions), 1883-CC (above average quality while showing a splatter of russet on the reverse left), and 1884-CC (a brief flash of pale rainbow toning zips across the bottom obverse). The Scotsman Cataloger's Choice Award has never in the last 20+ years applied to a multi-coin lot, but the 1882-CC would be easy to miss out on given that the textile pattern is relegated to the reverse, but enthusiasts who pursue such ultra-original bag hoard survivors deserve a call-out for this three coin lot.
