Early United States mint sets are among the most difficult items to find in their original condition and packaging. There are five such issues here that includes a 1949, a 1951, a 1952, a 1954, and a 1957. Each of these are still in their original cardboard sleeves and envelopes as well. Wispy and dusty tones cling to all of the surfaces of each issue within each set lending even further evidence to these particular set’s originality. Robert Michaels Collection. Newcomb-7, a slightly less common variety for 1856 showing upright digits in the date. Glorious and blatantly choice Hershey-brown blankets the surface and manifests decent luster despite the vintage patina. Design elements are beautifully struck and the whole coin has successfully dodged even small contact marks.
