  • Lot #729 - 1805 B-1 PCGS VF-35 (green label)
  • Hammer: $2,400
  • Quarter Dollars-Draped Bust
  • Browning-1, R.4 and a variety for which not a whole lot of new examples have been found in the past couple of decades, leaving it as still a very scarce die-marriage. Were Liberty's central hair strands showing slightly more delineation, the coin would reach XF sharpness, while rather original coral-grey patina adds to the appeal. A coin with amazingly few blemishes considering the middle level of circulation.
