  • Lot #25 - China - (1901-08) Szechuan $1 Wide Faced, Inverted "A" L&M-345C - PCGS VF-30
  • Hammer: $660
  • World Coins-China
  • L&M-345C, KM#Y238.1, Chengdu mint, and popular for using an inverted "A" in place of "V" in PROVINCE on the reverse (faced up in the PCGS slab). Frequently encountered with chopmarks, the Szechuan-Kuang-hsu dollar is coveted when found straight-graded under legitimate certification. This example offers obvious advantages over most cleaned examples as the surface retains nearly all of the vintage dark patina, showing only trace glossy texture on higher relief areas.

  • Lot #290 - 1795 Talbot Cent PCGS MS-63
  • Hammer: $625
  • Colonial Issues-Talbot, Allum, and Lee Cents
  • Dr. Drew Collection. Fuld-1. Clashed dies were used to produce this compelling sienna-brown cent, but collectors and specialists should take note of the prooflike surface. The strike quality also speaks to very good production with precise detailing that also rivals that of a proof.
