  • Lot #477 - 1911 PCGS MS-62 (labeled incorrectly)
  • Hammer: $1,500
  • Gold $10-Indian Head Eagle
  • The labeling error might add a bit of value for collectors of technical errors... or perhaps the grade is wrong as well as the coin appears about a point nicer than MS-62 at first glance. Utterly vibrant luster speeds around both sides, so it isn't easy to figure out exactly why PCGS couldn't go fully choice on this attractive double-eagle OOPS ten-dollar gold piece.

  • Lot #626 - 1880-CC 8/Low 7 VAM-6 NGC MS-65+
  • Hammer: $1,650
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • Clem Stevens Collection. VAM-6, Top-100, consisting of the strong 8/7 in the date. An exceedingly frosty silver dollar, the obverse somehow projects a hint of cameo effect despite the astonishing amount of frost. Very decently struck and amazingly clean, especially within the fields.
