L&M-345C, KM#Y238.1, Chengdu mint, and popular for using an inverted "A" in place of "V" in PROVINCE on the reverse (faced up in the PCGS slab). Frequently encountered with chopmarks, the Szechuan-Kuang-hsu dollar is coveted when found straight-graded under legitimate certification. This example offers obvious advantages over most cleaned examples as the surface retains nearly all of the vintage dark patina, showing only trace glossy texture on higher relief areas.

Considerable luster remains present for this one, perhaps suggestive of the choice grade level. Perhaps a combination of heft and indifferent handling has created a situation whereby many seem to suffer nicks and bumps on edge, such anomalies professionally "corrected" at far right for this piece.
