A ridiculously attractive combination of royal purple waves along with a mild rose backdrop give the obverse of this 1838 Small Stars Seated Liberty dime a truly unique appeal. Traces of nearly identical tones cling to the peripheries of the reverse and teams with ample luster throughout this wholly original specimen. NGC has graded this particular example as MS-62 and it is more than adequate for the assigned grade. This handsome type example could be a great candidate for CAC (ck).

While the eagle's portrait on the reverse is not as refined as for K-7a or K-7b, the engraving work for the peripheral letters is of superior quality. A rather remarkable example for only AU-50, significant luster remains evident even after ten points of wear and the surface features nice, orange-gold coloration. Wonderfully problem-free and a truly great opportunity for the private gold collector.
