  • Lot #760 - 1837 Reeded Edge NGC MS-62
  • Half Dollars-Capped Bust, Reeded Edge
  • Bachelor Simon Collection. GR-17, a common die-marriage readily attributed by the extensive reverse die cracks. Softly lustrous and satiny overall despite at least two bold die clashes several degrees apart from each other and the original die rotation. A curious narrow gash on the face clearly determines the grade, but overall, this is a highly pleasing type coin with a hands-length smooth appearance and an unusually bold strike.
