101st Airborne Collection. Whitman Blue Collection. Missing pieces include 1942/1, and strangely, 19145-D and 1945-S. 1916-D (AG-3), 1921 (AG-3+), and 1921-D (AG-3) all face up as problem-free, original examples, which they should since as a teenager in the 1940s, the consignor collected every single coin out of circulation, a feat impossible today. Amazingly, he actually remembers upgrading the included 1916-D (AG-3 and perfect) -- and spending the lower grade damaged example back into circulation! 1920-D has some scratches many early pieces grade up to Fine, and as usual, grades progressively increase for later examples.

The Mechanics-American National Bank of St. Louis, Missouri. An attractive, high grade read seal with exceptionally sharp ebony signatures off this briefly tenured St. Louis issuer. The note was printed against the extreme bottom edge of the front.
