Different dates populate a golden trio of PCGS-certified quarter-eagles. Included are: 1897 (indisputably bag-abraded but possibly showing a whiff of cameo effect over a superb strike), 1898 (borderline perfect strike despite a slightly cracked reverse die), and 1903 (tremendous strike and showing delightful, vintage khaki-gold coloration). The eyes of the fly/moth feature a pair of faceted 1mm red ruby accents while the back section of the body is a 5.5mm x 7mm natural pearl. Trombone clasp closure. Possibly French in origin and excellent condition. Dimensions: 1.5” x 1.2”, 3.5 dwt.
