Examples ranging widely in grade from About Good through Choice Uncirculated fill this set from star to finish. It is in the typical manner of the earlier examples being more modest in condition with the “short set” dates offering much higher grading averages. Half Dollars-Draped Bust
Mastodon Collection. Overton-119a, R.3. The die state appears to fall just shy of the latest seen, with wavy clashmarks that connect the tops of the digits in the date, not to mention evidence of at least two very strong clash patterns on the obverse. There is no die crack on the reverse through "U" of UNUM. Although both sides are flatly struck, that is characteristic of the die-marriage yet both sides boast strong luster. A couple of small digs at the end of UNITED are notable.

Average condition case and crystal. Winds, sets and runs. B. Ball Official RR Standard Cleveland on face. Movement # B800462. Watch has some trouble setting and winding.
