  • Lot #428 - 1901, 1906 FS-301 (not mentioned), and a 1907, all PCGS MS-63
  • Hammer: $3,100
  • Gold $5-Liberty Head Half Eagle
  • Common dates team up for this trio, yet are interrupted by an unlisted and much better variety. Included are: 1901 (peppered by tiny bagmarks but smoothly lustrous), 1906 FS-301 (a Cherrypicker's variety but not so-listed on the slab insert), and 1907 (slightly flashy from refinished dies and showing light abrading overall). Clearly the repunched date example is the jewel of this three coin lot.
