KM#97 Potosi mint. Housed in weird, purple slab(!) yet the coin is not weird at all, and in fact, it serves up a fair amount of luster and pleasant smoke-purple and turquoise toning. While these are always found somewhat flat, the strike was particularly lacking for this barely-circulated example.

A lovely Victorian tassel style pin/pendant combo with small pearl accents and black enamel detailing (some chipped and needs to be repaired) with engraving and beading as well. The back does have some lead solder marks but they are totally unseen when worn. Dimensions 2” x .90”, 5.6 dwt.
