Delightful surface gloss brings out Hershey-brown coloration for this excellent, superbly original key Lincoln cent. Overall even patina and virtually unsullied quality serve to emphasize an utterly exceptional strike. A small mark left of the portrait and a very faint sliding abrasion at upper right are all that defy full gem consideration.

Land And Home Collection. Hodder 2-D, Breen-190, R.6+. The "Godless" LON DON variety is much scarcer than the more often encountered GOD PRESERVE LONDON varieties. The surface of this wallet-brown example has a somewhat dry appearance but has no curious discolorations. Several tiny, curious pockmarks dot the elephant side, while the reverse shows no unexpected contact.
