US Currency-Demand Notes, Large
Among the instruments available to the Federal government to raise capital during the Civil War, issuance of "Demand Notes" (nicknamed "greenbacks" for the green design on the back) was ono of the most prevalent, prior to introduction of the legal tender series. They represent the first central government-sponsored paper currency to reach a nationwide level of circulation. Remarkably, these are still considered legally redeemable at face value by the U.S. government although with so few in existence off the issued $5, $10 and $20 denominations, one hopes the collector value such items is obvious. PMG denotes "surface repairs" in reference to the back of this worn example but that does not preclude inclusion in the pantheon of Scotsman Cataloger's Choice Award winners.

A vintage strand of cultured saltwater pearls that will knock your socks off! The creamy orbs measure 7mm x 7.5mm and bear a 2mm pearl at one end and a 14K white gold clasp at the other that allows you to lock in the pearls at different lengths. In a “bursting” design, the clasp is covered in 1mm to 2mm single cut round diamonds that provide an estimated .50 cttw in sparkle. The adorning pearls measure 6mm. An extremely fine strand of pearls with minimal blemishes and a very nice luster with that illusive “touch of pink.” Length 30”.
