Early United States mint sets are among the most difficult items to find in their original condition and packaging. There are five such issues here that includes a 1949, a 1951, a 1952, a 1954, and a 1957. Each of these are still in their original cardboard sleeves and envelopes as well. Wispy and dusty tones cling to all of the surfaces of each issue within each set lending even further evidence to these particular set’s originality. Dimes-Capped Bust
A pair of bust dimes offer pleasant strikes and generally acceptable appearance. First is1823/2, likely dipped in the distant past and now showing some orange-gold hue against the rims as well as a surprising burst of luster given the XF-40 grade. Lavender-grey entirely layers over the accompanying 1835, both sides benefiting from an above-average strike but also lacking luster overall. Two coin lot.
