Mintage: 16,013. Splendidly original . Mere mention of "1859 eagle" rarely inspires visions of scarcity, but a very low emission leads to some well bounded populations at either service today. This example features a fairly bold appearance despite a modestly incomplete strike as well as pleasing luster shimmering through the stars.

This coin features remarkable ruby-violet and coral-gold toning that must be seen to be believed.
