PMG has wisely graded this sheet as Gum Uncirculated 65 EPQ. It is worth mentioning that the serial numbers range from A000007 through A000012 and that the Charter number is #31. Grand National Collection. L&M-37, KM#Y31, no dot after DOLLAR, extra flame, Tientsin mint. Many consider this the premier silver dollar within the Imperial series and they often come rather nicely produced, as can be inferred by marvelous, vibrant spinning luster seen on both sides. Indeed, the grade seems almost too low at this point until one discovers scattered, fleeting hairlines on both sides. Exacting strike quality at the denticles and virtually all of the dragon's scales speak to a rather decent strike. A delightful coin with lovely, underrated cascading eye-appeal.
