Seven Capped Bust half dollars net graded by ANACS
Half Dollars-Capped Bust, Lettered Edge
Varying degrees of cleaning from light to almost nonexistent plagues this seven coin group lot of ANACS certified Capped Bust half-dollars. Each of these issues are housed in the older style “soap box” holder and can be described as follows: an 1832 O-101 UNC Details Cleaned, an 1832 O-118 AU Details Cleaned, an 1833 O-102 AU Details Cleaned, an 1833 O-102 UNC Details Cleaned, an 1834 O-107 AU Details Cleaned, an 1835 O-101 AU Details Cleaned, and an 1836 O-119 AU Details Cleaned. All seven of these have begun to re-tone after the cleaning had taken place, giving them a better than average look for their assigned grades (ck).

29 graded MS-67, 1 higher at NGC. Distribution of 13-thousand pieces led to precious few superb gems remaining for this low-relief design that frequently suffers pre-striking flan abrasions. Not so here, the strike carried out excellent eradication of any such possible disturbances, showcasing an untroubled and fully original appearance. Partial rings of album toning surround almond-grey interiors.
