Small Cents-Lincoln, Wheat
Feeble luster places this key cent right on the cusp of mint-state, energized by subtle orange beneath mahogany-brown patina. An exceptional strike brought up individually sculpted curls for Lincoln's portrait. Of interest is a small rim break at the extreme right side of the reverse.

The MS-64/65 fence for the Sesquicentennial is always dependent upon how many abrasions land on the cheek, and in this case, that marvelous patina helps to subdue a handful of tiny nicks. An absolutely marvelous example.
