Lot #229 - Error - 2015 Lincoln cent struck on a struck Roosevelt dime
Collector Lots-Error Coins
Sandra Wilson Algiers Estate. Sandra Wilson Algiers Collection. The cent was struck at a rotation of about 120 degrees, allowing the date to appear twice, although the later cent striking partially erased the final "5" from the dime's prior strike. The reverse is a veritable melange of contorted, intermingled details with both sides showing evidence of the copper core out beyond the rims. So well struck that the diameter very nearly reached that of an actual cent's flan.

Land And Home Collection. Hodder 2-D, Breen-190, R.6+. The "Godless" LON DON variety is much scarcer than the more often encountered GOD PRESERVE LONDON varieties. The surface of this wallet-brown example has a somewhat dry appearance but has no curious discolorations. Several tiny, curious pockmarks dot the elephant side, while the reverse shows no unexpected contact.
