101st Airborne Collection. A group of Standing Liberty quarters was recently extracted from the consignor's Dansco collection, as all the other pieces are circulated. Included are: 1917-D type-2 (MS-62 and extremely original toning that looks much like mint-set patina), 1919 (UNC/FH but showing hazy surfaces), 1925 (Ch BU), 1926-D (UNC but not well struck and showing album color), and 1928 (Ch BU/FH and with attractive turquoise iridescence clinging to the devices. Rather decent for MS-63, some steely lavender-grey carpets the obverse, while honey-beige predominates on the reverse. Both sides appear to have mildly reflective fields as could befit an earlier strike. Trivially marked by coin-to-coin contact that does nothing to detract in the grand scheme.
