  • Lot #898 - 1859 Choice BU
  • Hammer: $1,025
  • Small Cents-Indian Head
  • Cochrane Gambit Consignment. Cataloger's grade: [MS-63], the grade determined mostly by a small nick on Liberty's cheek, as well as moderately pronounced mint luster. The strike seems to have been taken off of polished dies that created a hint of flashy character within the fields, as well as noticeable cameo frost.

  • Lot #901 - 1950 Washington, Booker T. PCGS MS-67 CAC
  • Hammer: $2,300
  • Silver Commemoratives-Silver Commemoratives Half-Dollars
  • 49 graded MS-67, 9 graded MS-67+, zero higher at PCGS. Common most of the time, the 1950 BTW half-dollar can be pleasantly appreciated when found so nice and luminous as this remarkable, superb gem example. Inevitably, the pre-strike abrasions that always appear on Washington's cheek, no matter what the grade, will show up under a loupe but the surface otherwise remains phenomenally immune from contact and seems fully original.
