  • Lot #654 - 1880-O NGC, and an 1896-O PCGS, both AU-58
  • Hammer: $425
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • Bucky The Badger Consignment. Slider "unc" dollars fit seamlessly into a BU set, especially given that they are somewhat more expensive above AU-58. First is 1880-O showing a faint layer of whisper-thin greyish patina over seemingly full luster. Accompanying is 1896-O, so close to mint state despite trivial finger friction barely interrupting the central fields. Two coin lot.

  • Lot #806 - 1869 NGC PR-65

  • Half Dimes-Liberty Seated
  • Clem Stevens Collection. A sensational proof type coin that deserves a "star" (it was likely certified before NGC ushered in the designation for superior eye-appeal), this Reconstruction Era gem earns the Scotsman Cataloger's Choice Award. The obverse displays a phenomenally beautiful, fully circular pattern of rainbow toning that descends from the rim half way into the fields. The reverse survives with fully white mint brilliance. While the obverse also seems fully struck a hint of weakness shows on the reverse at upper left.
