  • Four NGC certified Prooflike Morgan dollars
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • Mirrored fields team up with frosty white subjects to make this four-piece group lot of NGC certified Morgan silver dollars truly stand out. Included in the blinding quartet is an 1878-S MS-64PL, an 1881-S MS-65PL, an 1882-CC MS-64DMPL, and a 1921 MS-62PL. It is worth noting that the 1878-S example is actually inside of a ‘fatty” style holder while the other three examples reside inside of older generation NGC slabs that shortly followed the “fatty” era. Gorgeous grouping (ck).

  • Lot #10 - Bolivia - (1598-1603)-PB 4 reales - PCGS VF-35
  • Hammer: $475
  • World Coins-Bolivia
  • Cal-767, Potosi mint, Philip III, and a hefty 13.76g per PCGS. The Atocha treasure yielded contemporary 4-reales, but those are typically lighter in weight due to attrition to saltwater corrosion. Not so this delightful pewter-grey and tan example. Somewhat of an oval shape with indented left-right edges received a superbly centered strike, the all-important P-B mintmark-assayer combination easily legible, as is the utterly bold denomination.

  • Lot #578 - 1928 NGC MS-67
  • Hammer: $10,250
  • Gold $20-Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle
  • 107 graded MS-67, 8 graded MS-67 "star", 6 higher (all 67+) at NGC. Ultra common in virtually any grade (as an aside, the 1928 Saint is MUCH rarer in low grade with a single AG-3 known to NGC!), not many more than a hundred pieces grade MS-67 or better at NGC. At first, second and third glance, this is a sensational type coin showing a near-perfect obverse and a reverse that thankfully takes on the majority of tiny abrasions found. Truly exceptional and an uncommonly bright and shining Saint.
