Cochrane Gambit Consignment. Cataloger's grade: [MS-61], the appearance highly reminiscent of 1859-O dollars from the famed bag hoard found decades ago. Tougher in mint state than its 1908 no motto counterpart, the 1907 Saint Gaudens is known for its flat strike, a result of an overcorrection after the ultimately failed high relief experiment on the then new double eagle design. A stupendous medium-gold sheen glazes the obverse; both sides remain relatively unscathed from major incisions compared to other MS-62 twenty-dollar gold grades.
