Highly reflective fields and steeply struck devices are impossible to ignore when looking at this particular 1939 United States proof set. This set has been carefully transplanted into a Capital plastics holder and has remained there for quite some time. Each of the silver issues are bright and white while the Jefferson nickel and Lincoln cent offer very attractive toning patterns that are certainly era appropriate (ck).

Lot #253 - Twelve Uncirculated type coins, all NGC (no line)

Where do we draw the line? This is a very attractive group lot of twelve NGC "no line" holder coins that includes the following eight MS-67 war-time Jefferson nickels: a 1942-S, a 1943-P, a 1943-S, a1944-P, a 1944-D, a 1944-S, a 1945-P, and a 1945-D. The final four pieces of this numismatic puzzle includes an 1882 MS-63 Morgan dollar, 1n 1897 MS-64 Morgan dollar, an 1945-D Walking Liberty half-dollar, and a 1937-S Buffalo nickel. While each of these appear to be very conservatively graded, the toning of the 1882 Morgan stands out from the crowd (ck).
