  • Some day when the grading services decide to introduce the SPL -- semi-prooflike -- designation ,the gorgeous 1900 dollar included here will qualify as it displays significant cameo effect beneath only trivially blemished surfaces. The accompanying 1918-D quarter features typical lack of focus for the date, including a flat head and missing sharpness on the shield, but it is certainly a glowing, fully choice example that has far fewer marks than expected of only MS-63. Two coin lot.
