  • Lot #792 - 1940 MS-66, 1940-S MS-65, and a 1944-D MS-65 CAC, all PCGS
  • Hammer: $625
  • Half Dollars-Walking Liberty
  • Espresso Logic Collection. Espresso Logic Collection. A trio of later Walking Liberty half-dollars get gem or better grades at PCGS. Included are: 1940 (incomparably smooth, bright surfaces off of fresh dies), 1940-S (a slightly better than average strike for the date came off of a cracked reverse die, the surface showing subtle olive-gold splashes), and 1944-D (blistering mercury-bright with admittedly a few tiny nicks in the obverse right field). Three coin lot.

  • Lot #525 - 1901 PCGS MS-64
  • Hammer: $2,500
  • Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
  • Dark amber-gold sheen blankets devices. Light dances effortlessly over surfaces at the slightest turn in the examiners hand. Approaching choice gem state, a stand of divots in hair and friction on neck likely held this specimen back from MS-65.
