101st Airborne Collection. A group of Standing Liberty quarters was recently extracted from the consignor's Dansco collection, as all the other pieces are circulated. Included are: 1917-D type-2 (MS-62 and extremely original toning that looks much like mint-set patina), 1919 (UNC/FH but showing hazy surfaces), 1925 (Ch BU), 1926-D (UNC but not well struck and showing album color), and 1928 (Ch BU/FH and with attractive turquoise iridescence clinging to the devices. And they may be listed as: ca 1917 "elder issue", Delorey-102 struck in brass (MS-63, delicate pesting of either side but smoothly lustrous, and also not assigned as inferred by the blank reverse), 1863 Civil War Token 240/337 (MS-65 BN, but showing noticeable splashes of crimson red within the confines of luminous cobalt toning, all wrapped up in lovely frosted texture), 1863 Advertising Token 345aA-1a (MS-62 BN, inadequately struck off of the usual shattered dies yet still features ample frosted luster).
