  • Lot #850 - 1880 AG
  • Nickels-Shield
  • Inland Delude Collection. Mintage: 16,000. Well-known as an extremely difficult date within the series, the allure of this heavily worn example will be particularly strong for low-ball set collectors who should be able to get it certified right off. IN GOD WE TRUST barely shows only the lower parts of the letters while the date remains plain. Better sharpness shows on the reverse, as is typical for work shield nickels.

  • Lot #888 - 1926 Sesquicentennial NGC MS-65
  • Hammer: $827
  • Silver Commemoratives-Silver Commemoratives Half-Dollars
  • Incredibly original as if just plucked out of its tissue-paper environment, both sides offer charming orange-grey and almond patina. The MS-64/65 fence for the Sesquicentennial is always dependent upon how many abrasions land on the cheek, and in this case, that marvelous patina helps to subdue a handful of tiny nicks. An absolutely marvelous example.

  • Lot #308 - Native American Unsigned Squash Blossom
  • Hammer: $320
  • Jewelry-Silver
  • Circa 1960/1970, this overly large sterling silver (tested, not marked) and chrysocolla squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and a 7-stone Naja at the bottom. With an overly bold design, the stone used in the making emulates a darker grade of turquoise than usually found in this type of necklace. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 26”, 8.40 troy ounces.
