Gold $5-Liberty Head Half Eagle
Mintage: 64,462. Curiously bright somehow despite 25 points of wear and the presence of utterly bold mustard-gold over lemony hues. While obviously moderately worn, this scarcer Charlotte issue almost never saw good strikes to begin with. Unlike some, all signs of circulation amount to honest wear and only minimal bagmarks, compared to many dinged survivors.

Rustic Holidays Collection. Mintage: 12,000. Struck during the heyday of Carson City production yet showing a low mintage, the coin must have dropped during the end of die usability as the reverse features substantial orange peel effect toward the reverse rims. True as well, weak detail permeates the central obverse, ceding to slightly better definition toward the periphery.

From the Running Bear Trading Group of Gallup, NM. here’s a signed sterling silver, turquoise and sand agate cuff bracelet. The turquoise appears to be from the Ithica Peak mine. Makers initials are J.S. for James Shay of the Navajo nation. This bracelet is in excellent condition. 1.88 troy ounces.
