Quarter Dollars-Standing Liberty
101st Airborne Collection. A group of Standing Liberty quarters was recently extracted from the consignor's Dansco collection, as all the other pieces are circulated. Included are: 1917-D type-2 (MS-62 and extremely original toning that looks much like mint-set patina), 1919 (UNC/FH but showing hazy surfaces), 1925 (Ch BU), 1926-D (UNC but not well struck and showing album color), and 1928 (Ch BU/FH and with attractive turquoise iridescence clinging to the devices. This is a fantastic foursome of Mexican 8 Reales silver coins that each offer Extra Fine to Almost Uncirculated surfaces with three examples displaying various degrees of chop-marks. The three chop-marked examples includes a 1737 (XF+ details), a 1741 (AU details), and a 1758 (XF details). A lone un-chopped issue is a lovely 1740 that is a nice and attractive AU example (ck).
