  • Lot #906 - 1894 PCGS PR-66RB
  • Hammer: $1,250
  • Small Cents-Indian Head
  • Bucky The Badger Consignment. 13 graded PR-66 RB, 3 higher at PCGS. Rather extraordinary violet-plum surrounds much of the obverse, yielding to saturated cornflower-blue, turquoise and copper-orange. A meticulously struck example that suffers simply zero notable distractions for a coin with very low high-grade population at PCGS.

  • Gold $20-Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle
  • Commissioned in 1904 by then president Teddy Roosevelt, Augustus Saint-Gaudens forever left his mark on American coinage with his legendary double eagle design. Though the original high-relief prototype posed challenges to the minting process, the here pictured standard relief edition would be adopted in 1907 and issued until 1933.
