Gold $5-Liberty Head Half Eagle
7 graded MS-64, which ties for highest graded at NGC. PCGS suggests five coins grade higher in their population report. Technically, 1879-S is not a scarce date but obviously, the set collector will be hard-pressed to locate a stronger candidate for a registry. Overall light hairlining limits the grade.

Very choice half-dollars all supply a profusion of white luster for this PCGS trio. Included are: 1935 (decent strike off of once-clashed and repolished dies), 1935-D (the commonly flatter strike yet zooming luster can still take advantage of nicely frosted texture), and 1935-S (clearly not well struck yet here again, ample luster makes up for any technical deficiency). Three coin lot.
