Wry Legals Consignment. The 1970 No S Roosevelt dime was the second such example of this series to be accidentally struck without an “S” mint mark. There are believed to be fewer than 500 of these mistakes in existence making this 1970 “No S” proof sets rather scarce. All five examples within this set are in Gem proof condition with the Kennedy half-dollar offering a hazy/dusty toning theme. This particular Roosevelt example is certainly potentially worth being sent to one of the major grading services (ck).

Often found cut a little askew, this particularly bright example has been almost ideally centered and squared properly when viewed from either side, which means the back of the note is as appealing as the front. Signatures were stamped a little high but are as bold and deep black as can be. A "small tear" as called out by PMG only just barely requires mention because it technically touches a portion of the design (the border line) else it would escape notice. Not mentioned is a tiny dab of greenish residue positioned below the offending "tear" -- the cataloger speculates a staple may have been professionally removed from the edge at some point.
