Zee's Densities Collection. Impairments place a damper on this 3-dollar duo, but how often does one find an auction lot with two certified examples? Included are: 1854 (delicate hairlines subtly traverse the lower portrait, erasing a few contact marks), and 1874 (glittering brightly as is typical of previously edge-mounted examples). Dimes-Capped Bust
JR-1, 1827/7 and often incorrectly referenced as "1827/5". These appear to be early dies, lacking any evidence of clashmarks, nor had any die breaks formed yet on the reverse when this dime was struck. Dynamic, jewel-like luster blows up the obverse eye-appeal but this is quickly offset by isolated surface damage "OF A" on the reverse.
