Large Cents-Draped Bust
Sheldon-266, die-state IV, the 1804 date obviously a key and even more elusive due to how many collectors pursue S-266 by die-state. For this bold example, rim breaks show plainly over RTY and MERIC. Dies are rotated by about 20 degrees for a coin that makes the cataloger's grade of [XF/corrosion removed], and the surface has been rather nicely recolored with chestnut-brown patina that has olive inflections on the reverse.

Brand new to the census is this Carthage, MO twenty, adding to the previously known six examples. Signatures remain nearly legible despite a few russet freckles over the cashier's hand. PMG also calls out a large splash of rust on the back.
