Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
Peripheral, spindly die cracks surround the reverse and connect most of USofA, suggesting a rapidly failing die. This side also shows markedly more abrasions than the obverse, the latter side surprisingly close to a fully choice appearance. Brilliant, frosty and showing nice lemon-gold hue.

D.S. Consignment.. VAM-3, Top-100 "spitting eagle". The reverse "pops" nicely but the obverse appears a little lackluster due to the overall lightly abraded surface. Only decently struck, some light planchet roller marks remain visible on and around the ear.

Recovered from the sunken Spanish galleon, the Santa Margarita this 8 Reale coin of Philip III is set into a 14K and sterling silver bezel. The bezel features a scene of a dolphin and a patch of seaweed. This does come with a certificate of authenticity from Mel Fishers’s Treasures, LLC. with a grade of four.
