  • Lot #11 - Bolivia - 1774-PTS JR 8 reales - NGC MS-63
  • World Coins-Bolivia
  • KM#55, Potosi mint, Charles III. Dispersal of a small hoard many years ago explains why mint-state examples of this date become available from time to time. Bright surfaces display more than a hint of semi-prooflike character, including some cameo contrast. Sharply double struck and featuring pronounced details on both sides.

  • Lot #665 - 1892-O PCGS MS-60 (rattler) GOLD CAC
  • Hammer: $675
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • Lemonade Stand Collection. The gold sticker seems to imply that CAC considers this to grade at least MS-61 but the cataloger is perfectly satisfied with the near-basal mint-state grade due to several factors. Centers are really very soft and widely abraded although the fields are about on par with a higher graded silver dollar. All this being said, the quality is at least amplified a bit by vibrant luster.
