Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
This coin and date make a fantastic jump in pricing between the MS-60 and MS-62 grades. Presented here is one that upon glance seems greatly adequate if not altogether undegraded. A closer exploration discloses surfaces lightly maligned with fine friction lines, almost as if it were improperly stored. Nevertheless, a lovely example conditionally considering the age and overall scarcity.

Peppered by innumerable tiny bag abrasions, the obverse clearly limits the grade as the reverse shows significantly fewer marks. Luster still roams freely and despite a die crack connecting the first five stars, both sides received prodigious detail from the strike.
