  • Chile - 1763-SO J 8 escudos - NGC AU details/ex-jewelry
  • World Coins-Chile
  • KM#20, Onza-903, Santiago mint. A compression bezel mostly protected design elements from wear as the details show at least AU-50 sharpness. One must carefully observe the rims and occasional slight flattening of the engrailed edge before realizing this was an undoubtedly conspicuous jewelry piece at one time.

  • Lot #801 - Group of nine Shield nickel varieties

  • Sword and shield! A total of nine circulated examples of the Shield nickel fills this group lot and includes the following examples: an 1866/66 (GD), an 1866 w/rays "missing leaf" (XF, cleaned), 2x 1868 reverse of ’68 (VG), an 1868 reveres of ’68 (F+), an 1868 reverse of ’68 (XF), an 1872 (F), an 1873 Closed 3 "DDO"(XF, corrosion), and an 1876 (XF+). It is also worth noting that two of the 1868 issues have a full "C" in "CENTS" as well. Potentially a nice lot to help fill a collector’s grade collection of this early type of United States nickels (ck).
