Collector Lots-Dimes
A tale of two dimes. This comprehensive group lot consists of a nearly complete collection of Mercury dimes (only missing one issue) and a completed collection of Roosevelt dimes. Both of these sets are securely housed in Library of Coins albums and are sure to please. The notable examples present within the Mercury dime set are as follows: a 1916-D (GD+), a 1916-S (BU), a 1919-S (AU++), a 1921 (F), and a 1921-D (VF, cleaned). The majority of the present issues from 1934 through 1945 are well represented from AU to BU. Every member of the Roosevelt dime series is accounted for and represented with BU examples that boast wonderful album style tones (ck).

Mintage: 30,945. Although discovery of a small hoard in the 1990s elevated the population of mint-state examples, demand for 1889-CC remains very strong today due in part to the low mintage -- but also because of the Carson City mintmark effect, of course. Here is a stellar AU-55 example that virtually satisfies any need for mint-state quality as both sides absolutely gleam with essentially full cartwheel luster. Merely trivial hairlines separate the reverse from MS-60 while the obverse shows trivial rub on several curls trailing downward from the hair bun.
