Observing only the obverse might well lead one to expect the gem grade as this side displays marvelous fine matte texture. The reverse takes on the majority of abrasions, showing squiggly shiny lines and a light mark above PLU. An unusually thorough and well delineated strike pushes this particularly 1914-D toward the top of MS-64.

A mid-century 14K yellow gold cornelian shell cameo pin/pendant combination featuring a nicely carved depiction of a Greek/Roman lady, the shell has been set in a bezel setting surrounded by loops of natural pearls. Safety catch closure with an oval bale for a chain. Dimensions: 1.5 x 1.2”, 7.2 dwt.
