  • 1910-S MS-65RD, and an 1919-S MS-64RD, both PCGS
  • Small Cents-Lincoln, Wheat
  • Despite being minted nine years apart, the luster and characteristics of these two earlier date Lincoln cents are splendidly similar, so much so that without a date it’d be hard to tell the year-issue apart. Quite brilliantly granular and pebbly, its remarkably refreshing to observe red Lincoln cents knowing that so much of the population has not maintained its original coppery complexion. (CE)

  • Lot #469 - 1910-D NGC MS-65
  • Hammer: $4,500
  • Gold $10-Indian Head Eagle
  • Reputation as the most available mintmarked Indian eagle stems from a waterfall mintage of 2.3-million pieces for 1910-D. Even so, a paltry 1% (!) of examples certified qualify for the gem grade level, this being an exquisitely colored example with granulated surface texture typical of the date. The obverse boasts an exceptionally clean cheek while very few random tiny abrasions stray onto the reverse.
