The Wild Steven Collection. Quite a bit similar to another individual of the same grade and service in the sale. This specimen incorporates slightly more dusty originality than the former. In the same breath, perhaps more bag hits and abrasions exist on the one shown here, with a notable dent just above “LIBERTY,” and several more minor but notable hits on cheek. (CE)

Mintage: 176,00, moderately low for a Seated Liberty quarter. The surface appears reasonably original at first glance but a second look finds two or so lengthy, deeper pinscratches across the portrait. Some indigo-green grunge has become embedded into the reverse shield.
