The Wild Steven Collection. The 1882 double eagle issue was the first of twenties to be minted at Carson City after a short hiatus beginning post 1879. Immediately pleasing for the AU-55 grade, with gleaming luster percolating underneath traces of wear. Perfectly balanced amber-sunflower tones bathe themselves over all fields. Very problem free in the places that matter most, with only a small trio of spots in southwest reverse daring to compromise any natural beauty. (CE)
