1909-S VDB Lincoln PCGS AU-58
Small Cents-Lincoln, Wheat
Substantial luster permeates the entire obverse, possibly flowing complete through the fields, while the reverse shows finely frosted texture embedded within the luster. Had the coin made mint-state level, the amazing freedom from abrasions would surely have placed it at the gem level. Superbly colored in leather-brown on both sides, with additional greyish accents on the reverse.

Luster could potentially be complete beneath a fragile greyish patina a both sides shimmer pleasantly under good white lighting. The remnant of a fingerprint in the obverse left field joins some delicate contact marks that PCGS interprets as circulation to help ascertain the grade. The abrasions mostly land on Liberty's portrait, leaving the reverse practically immune from contact.
